Providing A Free Camp Experience since 1982

The Lions of Kentucky have been dedicated to providing a FREE camp experience for underserved children. They founded the Kentucky Lions Youth Camp for blind and visually impaired children in 1982. In 1992, the camp expanded to include deaf and hard-of-hearing children. The Lions purchased Camp Crescendo in March of 1996 and created two additional free camps. Those two camps were Camp Heart to Heart for children living in the shadows of HIV/AIDS in 1999 and Camp Freedom for children in foster or kinship care in 2006. These free, week-long camps are the heart of our mission.

Free Camps

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our 2024 Free Camps are cancelled. We look forward to seeing everyone in 2025.

Lions Camp Crescendo serves children who are blind/visually impaired, deaf/hard-of-hearing, or are in foster/kinship care.
